Registration during School Closure due to Covid-19
Pre-Primary to Grade 12
Families can still register for school during the closure due to Covid-19. Please complete all sections of the attached registration form and email to registration@HRCE.ca. You must attach a scanned copy or picture of proof of residence (Power or Water bill), Nova Scotia Health Card and your child’s birth certificate (for Pre-Primary and Primary registration only). If you require assistance completing the registration form or do not have access to email please contact:
You will receive an email/phone call confirming receipt of your registration and the email address/ contact information for the Home School. The documentation will be emailed to the Home School for processing. Any further questions can be directed to the Home School email address/contact information for response.
Out of Area Process during school closure due to Covid-19
The Out of Area process will begin April 14 at 8:00am and close April 27 at 4pm
Parents/guardians will be able to submit Out of Areas through the HRCE website
Parents/guardians without access to technology may call a Parent Navigator to assist with completing the online application

The Out of Area process applies only to students in grades Primary to 12
Online requests will be delivered automatically to schools and will include a submission date and time stamp.
Parents/ guardians will not be required to complete an Out of Area form signed by Home School principal during the closure period.
Schools will number all applications according to date and time received.
Requests for students who will have older siblings in the receiving school in September will be given priority for an Out of Area placement if adequate accommodation is available.
Decisions regarding Out of Area requests will be communicated by June 23rd.
Transportation for students accepted as Out of Area is the parent/guardian’s responsibility.
